Friday the 13th: A New Beginning.... without Jason

Do you remember the first time you watched Halloween 3 then realized that it had nothing to do with Michael Myers? Well, that's kind of how I feel about Friday the 13 part V. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Halloween 3 but this "Jason" film I could do without. It's pretty flaccid and seems to only serve as a filler within the series.

Little Tommy is older now and he's out of an institution and into a half-way house with other unstable/mixed-up people. One of the crazy guy kills an annoying guy and shit goes down, suddenly someone in a hockey mask is killing people. Well it's assumed to be Jason and Tommy is looking to put an end to kill Jason for good. Too bad it turns out that the killer wasn't Jason at all, it was just some dude, specifically the dead annoying guy's dad.

*Sigh* I guess it's really a matter of taste. I'm sure a lot of people dig this one but it just doesn't sit well with me. The next movie, Jason Lives was the start of my love for Friday films but I'll get to that next post. Anyway, I could continue with more about this or I can just post a YouTube trib video which sums up the whole movie.

And this post would not be complete without the official trailer

I haven't watched this one in literally 20 years. Despite the fact that I have it since it's in the box set. lol

I haven't seen any of these (with the exception of the first one at Fango and part 4 at the Massacre) since I first got the box set so I'm remembering a lot that I forgot.
