Tonight I watched Prince of Darkness. I don't think I've ever seen this before so it was a pleasure to watch a new John Carpenter movie and treasure Donald Pleasence as the great actor he'll always be remembered for.
The one thing that I love about Carpenter's films is the music. Seeing this for the first time, if I didn't have know it was a J.C. film just listening to the intro music would have gave it away for me.
Due to being tired and maybe a little lazy, I won't delve too much into this movie tonight. I enjoyed the movie but it wasn't my favorite Carpenter movie. Maybe I'll have to give this one another try but I wasn't feeling it.
Still better than Zombie Strippers!

I love this one a lot. It was probably the movie that stuck me on loving Carpenter after I'd seen Halloween, and I must have watched it a dozen times when I was in High school. I'm a big fan of anything that's blatantly goofy but takes itself so seriously that you stop noticing.
