Happy Friday All!
Here's this week's FFR.
Thankskilling
A turkey rises from the grave to kill people. Oh yeah and it talks too! That just screams awesome to me.
Misery
With Thanksgiving done, this is one of the movies I like to watch to get into the "Christmas" mood. I know it has nothing to do with holidays but there's snow and blizzards so yeah!
Also a lot of the very uncomfortable scenes are enough to keep me warm.
Single White Female
The night before my parents drove me to college, they watched this movie for the first time. My mother was terrified of what kind of girls I would be rooming with and if they were going to turn out to be freaks.
Thankful out of all three years, I lived with some odd girls and some awesome girls but none of them every wanted to be like me. Pshew.
Spiral
As a semi-socially awkward person, I enjoy watching movies about other socially awkward people. It makes me feel better than I'm not as bad as others.
In this psychological thriller, Mason, the awkward guy meets Amber, the friendly, peppy chick. She wants to ease him into a world of being normal but his disturbing past lingers with each girl he's with. He wants Amber to be different but he can't help but fall into old patterns.
There is a scene in the movie towards the end when Amber's in Mason's place and she sees a picture he drew. We don't get to see what it is but the look on her face turned my blood cold.
Strait-Jacket
After watching a documentary on William Castle this is one of his movies I really wanted to see. I'm strangely frightened by Joan Crawford so to see a movie she kind of took over completely only added to my fright. And besides her being a full-on freak, this movie is great as well.
Dead Alive
This is one of my favorite Peter Jackson films (Heavenly Creatures being #1) and this is also one of my favorite zombie movies. I think movies is a must watch for horror fans especially the ones like me who love wall-to-wall gore.
Cutting Class
Brad Pitt stars in the role of his career. Ok so this one didn't put him on the map but this slightly underrated "I wonder who's the killer" movie, is great. I also have a weakness for 80's teen slasher flicks.
Christmas Evil (aka You Better Watch Out!)
It's officially time to get into the holiday spirit with this Xmas gem.
A boy is scarred for life when he learns that Santa is not real. He becomes obsessed with the behavior of children and the quality of the toys he makes. When he is met with hypocrisy and cynicism, the resulting snap causes him to go on a yuletide killing spree.
Have a great weekend!

I actually remember Cutting Class! I recall watching it on cable many years ago, and getting up to the part where a certain character is impaled on a flagpole (I hope that wasn't too spoilery!) . . . but something came up and I never got to finish it. At least now I know the title. =) What a shock that Brad Pitt was in it, too!
Hey there. Nice post! 'Thankskilling looks' totally hilarious. I'm gonna check that out! :D
Enbrethiliel- Cutting Class is very awesome. I'm so glad it got a dvd release.
Robert- If you see it before I do, let me know what you think!
Is Christmas Evil the one that will be at the Holiday Of Horrors?
So many good picks here. Glad you have Spiral on there. I loved that movie.
