Alison Jones is a hip New York chick with a spiffy software designer job and a rockin' fiancé.
She's thinks she has it all going on until she finds out the her man, Sam cheated on her. Feeling devastated, alone and super needy, Alison thinks the quick fix to her loneliness is to get a roommate.
After going through a process of meeting weirdos and one potentially nice girl, another random chick, Hedy, shows up for an interview. The two hit it off right away and Alison decides that Hedy is the perfect roomie fit.

Little does Alison know, Hedy has a shady past accompanied by murderous tendencies. While growing up Hedy lost her twin in an accident and went through her life feeling like apart of her was missing. Instead of finding a healthy way to get through her tragedy, Hedy decides to use Alison as a twin sis replacement.
Slowly Alison see that Hedy is starting to dress like her, and covet her life and as soon as Alison gets back together with cheater Sam, Hedy turns psycho.
Alison chalks it up to Hedy being upset that she has to move out after she just moved in like 5 minutes ago, but then after Hedy decides to chop off her hair, dye it red and look exactly like Alison, she realizes that... Yo! Bitch crazy!
Suddenly Alison becomes more uncomfortable with Hedy's new found behavior and she can't wait to get her out her apartment and her life.

Hedy's obsession with Alison spirals out of control, people get killed and Hedy is ready to bail on the faux life she created and wants Alison to start anew with her.

Alison finds herself fighting for her life and the remains of her identity.
During my college years I went through a series of some strange roommates but thankfully none of them blew my boyfriend and tried to take over my life. Well, at least not that I knew of. Watching this movie has convinced me that living alone isn't so bad.
So ladies, if you're feeling the need to fill space in your life and your apartment, let me suggest getting a pet. They are way too stupid to try to steal your life nor do they care to.
